Michael is going through some job issues that is affecting us all and to that end, we all are hoping and praying to our perspective deities and ask that, if you are so inclined, you do so too. He also plans on doing Kubla Kon next weekend as a release, so if you're going to be there and see him..please offer a kind word or a hug.
Rachael is still working at her current job, but is also looking for another. Seems like the whole house hold is out looking for a new job. She too will be doing a convention next weekend, Baycon.
I, as some of you have heard, have gone through a really rough week. I am working through a mild form of depression, which feels like major depression. I have broken away from my singing group that I was a part of, and also got the bad news that once again, for the third year in a row, have been denied entrance to a nursing program. Now granted, I haven't been able, due to lack of funds, apply to too many, but, I will soon be remedying that, by buying my transcripts little by little. I will be trying to get either into a spring program, or a private college. I am hoping that somehow, it will work out monetarily and/or otherwise. I am lucky in that I have a friend/colleague who is willing to co-sign a loan if need be. I am hoping this will not have to happen. We can only wait to see.
The whole family is planning on going to see Amachee (also known as Amma)the month of June.
Speaking of plans, that gets to the point of my letter/message. We are finally getting back into the swing of things, and are very excited about all this great weather! So! Without further ado, I give you our tentative plans for the upcoming months. We would like as many people as possible to attend and enjoy themselves, so please, let us know if there are any events or what not that we have not foreseen, and we will try to adjust our schedule accordingly.
Here are the dates as currently schedualed...
Friday, June 15- Rachael's Bad Movie Night. Movies to be shown... Vampirella and Barbed Wire
Saturday, June 23- Dragoncat Den BBQ 1pm-? This event will be kid friendly from start till 8 pm. This event also continues on till whenever it ends.
Saturday, July 21- Larger Circle of Friends Potluck-7-? This event is an adult only event. Please feel free to invite friends to join you as this event is a meet and greet type of event.
So, these are the events in the most imminent future for our little household/family. We would like to invite you to attend all of our events and enjoy yourselves. And we invite any and all comments as to input for future dates and or events.
